On October 21 in Vienna, Austria David Eaton participated as conductor, composer and arranger in the Benefit Concert for Syrian Refugees at the Syrian Orthodox church. Bishop Emmanuel Aydin requested that soprano, Seiko Lee produce this concert at his church. Several hundred guests attended the concert which featured Ms. Lee and several other vocalists who she chose to join her. Her musical version of the Syrian Lord’s Prayer was a highlight of the concert.
Ms. Lee requested that David Eaton arrange three movements of the peace cantata, Halelu: Songs of David, a work co-composed by Mr. Eaton and David D’Or especially for this concert. Horn player Albert Heitzinger, who has performed with the Vienna Philharmonic on numerous occasions, joined the instrumental ensemble as well.
